You are right, pocket.
My “spinning” style has more distance than my figure 8. I typically use Byzantine for distance.
The problem is accuracy. My Figure 8 is the only throw that has distance AND accuracy. I just can’t get near the goal posts with Byzantine where the majority of Figure 8 throws are between the uprights.
For reference, I am using high school goal posts with the uprights 23 feet, 4 inches wide. According to google, at a distance of 65 yards away, the goal posts appears ~6.87 degrees wide, or about the size of a small steering wheel at held at arm's length.
So you can see, it is a fun challenge throwing for distance and accuracy at the same time!
