It isn't magnetic. But yes. Never heat those magnetic rattlesnake eggs. They loose their magnetism. Doesn't take much heat. Thanks Tomas! The Balearic is my workhorse now. 2nd set of leather.

That is my morakniv. I use it near daily... it is only a few years old(I think 2-3. I bought it after an EDC thread on here suggested it). Constant carving and chopping, plus the occasional honing, and 2 buffings, have stripped off the Morakniv logo. Amazing knife. Still cuts as well as when I bought it.

While weeding the garden, much to my puzzlement I found in the undergrowth a paracord (or simply nylon cord) sling (PJ-style pouch). I have no idea how it got there. I stopped making that kind of sling a few years ago. It's green and black with mould. But (once rinsed free of mud) it still shoots !

Eppur si muove.

(see pictures) The sling isn't special. I made it out of scratch when I was bored 2 years ago or something, I only recovered it recently when I started slinging again. It works, but it needs longer cords (the finger loop is held with tape at the moment)

It's only 60 cm in length and I used a flat braid. The reason for the short length: I don't have much room to sling and I got a lot of obstacles. It's purely made for the use of tennisballs.

(Like that's a big surprise, lol.) I found it interesting because the artist coincidentally draw it in a way that resembles a surviving Malescero Apache sling from North America (Ignoring the weird grip on the retention cord, and all.)
