I like it. I have been going back to the origional type of sling, leather pouch and cord. I find them beautiful in a different way from a super complex braid.

As for getting in touch with Hubert, I imagine the best way to contact him would be via PM. (That's how I did it during the SITH)
I love the action so much that I'm trying to copy it down to the last detail. That way I'll have one for play, and another for display.

One short sling and two with my average cord length.
In fact since the OT-discussion about techniques and videos in the balearic-vs.-tut-thread I watched some videos on youtube and started systematically working on my accuracy. The most inspiring videos were
Dan`s target slinging, his other 10 min.-video called "Slinging (slings, ammo, and throws)" and Tint`s video, showing him on a tennis court slinging at a plastic chair. At the moment I only use the hunting slings shown here and in the next post and throw only sidearm (sometimes at the end of a slinging session I make some distance and fig.8 shots to not forget). I started shooting at small areas on trees from a distance of first 5m, slowly increasing the distance to actually about 10m. On good days I arrive to 75%, on bad ones to 50% and a nice side effect is, that I need less stones now, cause I can recollect them. In the past the stones got lost in the lake or behind the bushes.
Now I will increase step by step the distance and later I will add more complicated slinging styles. Changing bad technique is more complicated than learning slowly but correctly, also if there`s a lot of self-discipline needed, not to throw with other styles I already have used.

I´m glad you like it.  You need two strings of paracord. With one you tie a modified 5-strand-sheepshank, where the 4th and 5th strand is twisted around the 2nd and 3rd. Then take the other paracord strand for the warp-cords as shown in DM´s tutorial for the mexican sling, but weave them alternatingly over and under the central strand of the sheepshank. The long end of the second paracord is then woven between the warps, starting on one side of the pouch. Weave one row, then turn back on the same side. Now change the side, weave one row again, turn back and change the side again to where you started. Weave again one row, skipping the last warp cord, turn back and change to the other side again one warp before the last one. Continue by always weaving two rows on each side and always skipping more warps, until you finish in the middle of the pouch. At the end pull the warp cords tighter starting on the end where you began to weave and finishing at the short end of the second paracord string. Cut and melt the ends, and you`re done. I think there were some complications where I had to cross the central sheepshank strand where I had to improvise, but I can`t remember exactly what I did. I´m sure you`ll manage this. You`ll get a heavy (-duty) pouch with this.

Yeah those stones do travel far.  There is another part of river behind that gravel bar and although I couldn't see it I did see the
splash beyond.
