Hello, RJB, your picture clearly shows that your sling does its job and has done it for some time. There is so many pictures of new and shiny slings, I have thought myself it would be nice with some pictures of used slings.

An old sling is like a worn in shoe. It may look terrible, but it feels so comfortable. That worn one feels like an old friend.
I valued my compound bow because it was expensive, and was over protective because when I broke it became a worthless hunk of plastic and I'd have to go shopping and spend too much money again.
This is why I love primitive skills. Longbows and slings are valued because they have the spirit of a companion, but little material value (to the owner) because a sling can easily be crafted again and a new enchanted process begins.
