Not gonna happen, I think, but I do sometimes think about some of these ideas and think, "hang on, that's not Labour. Weren't you guys socialists once?" Tuition fees, for instance. Big issue for me; I am one of the first to have to pay the whole £3000 a year. Not a very socialist path of education policy. But I don't think it will lead to totalitarianism. We are basically just mimicking America, which is a shame. (Why can't we make up our own way, without deliberately infuriating the Islamists etc?) I see the solution coming when people just calm down, people don't even think about invading Iran, and we try to patch things up. Maybe when a Democrat is back in the White House. The late nineties was great - why can't we have that back? And besides, we might not even have the same country in 20 years. The effects of global warming could cause a massive rise in temperature in summer, and a great decrease in winter; and the rising seas will engulf a lot of the coastal areas, which, let's face it, is much of the country.
