Value Judgements
Apr 11th, 2006 at 2:53am

The offer I made formerly via PM to english still stands, that if he won't respond to my topics,  I won't respond to his.

Seems fair to me.

I am not in control of who responds to what I am compelled to share.  Nor in what manner(s) (or lack thereof) he may choose to do so.

But if being the 'bigger' man, means piping down and playing doormat to the contentious and alarming tantrums of a teenager disturbed.....each time I share something I believe of significant importance to some here in the forum.....well, then I am indeed content to be considered a small minded man.

Tech, it's just that you share the same thing over and over and over again. Undecided

Oh Bravo - entirely my opinion too. Techstuff can make his points, but a new thread about them every few days? I have been criticised for attacking him in threads, but would leave him alone if he limited his posts to one a month!

Oh, just the religious ones - no cheating by starting a thread like this....

[b]"Making sling out of Corn Straw"

Hi all - I have been trying to make a sling out of corn-straw, but the straw keeps fraying and snapping no matter how well i weave it. Is this an inherent issue with the materieal, or is it because The Government are Poisoning My cornfields with Satanic Freemasons Poison it's all the Aliens and The Illuminati's Fault, they are trying to take over the world with their Black Helicopters and David Icke Was Right you are all going to burn in HELL.

That is NOT true, and the Judge agreed with my Lawyer - said I was not evil, merely insane.

It may seem like a narrow distinction to YOU, but it got me a cell with windows rather than bars, and extra Tea and Biscuits.

I have taken CanDo's creative suggestion as to the use of signature.  Which covers such information by which I have made repeated offense to a certain few here.

Which really gets to the meat of the matter.....

Practically says it all.....

Quote:
"And God so loved the World that he gave his only begotten Son".........once!

It's the gift that keeps on giving!

Guys,  I'm not a 'status quo' kind of guy.....heck you've known that for awhile now.  And this IS the place for other topics.

Every time I come across some of the same old daily inane yammering on the forum,  (No personal offense to some of those perhaps younger members, some of whom prefer crude juvenile banter) I don't succumb to the kneejerk reaction of making personal attack or whining every time someone is rude, obnoxious, or rehashes the same information.....I simply leave those to their preferred topics.....their particular brand of 'fun'.

Kids will be kids..... Smiley

Some of us are older and generally more serious than others,  Perhaps one could simply see their way clear to leave such ones to their serious discussions.

If you think I'm crying wolf.....you doesn't have to listen or even enter my topics.  Yes, it really is that easy!

As for Pat 'not attacking' me if I only post once a month......

God bless your heart Pat, surely you feel you are being generous by offering to withhold personal attacks if I capitulate to your inability to simply look away from what, obviously in your view, is the 'trainwreck' that is me.....

However, if I'm really as 'screwed up' as you say.....perhaps pre-adolescent 'personal attacks' or even posting in my topics at all....are not the answer here.

Chris has created a great forum here.....and I will certainly accede to his recommendation regarding allowable content.

Disturbed teenager eh?  Thanks.  Nice creative flourish.

However... it appears that when you sink to attacking semantics of arguments rather than arguments themselves, you are asking for a bashing ("species", "non-species" - why not answer the problem of the frigging coelacanth!)  I've got nothing against stopping air pollution - I'm all for it.  I even hate George Bush.  But I can't get on board the Christian bus.  It looks crappy and old.  The steering wheel is peeling, the driver still has braces into his thirties, and the only charismatic man on there has bad breath and keeps hitting people with a towel.  Sorry man.
Or should I say "disturbed man"?  That's too unoriginal.  How about... really rather nice, misguided man?

Nope, 'Disturbed' floats My Boat.

This is a very good reason for opposing the involvement of Christian Fundamentalists in Politics.

Oh come on man, we don't have to worry about that bunch of crackers.  Once Tony's out, we'll have a money-grabbing, pragmatic Scotsman on the throne - sorry, at number 10.  Fundies might be gaining a wee foothold, but they won't penetrate our political system.  Too many atheists - apparently the most atheistic countries are England, China and Sweden.
