Held phone in hand and filmed the sling release.

Was interesting and more difficult than I thought. But only threw my phone once!!   Smiley

Nice footage!  It’s interesting… it was out of the way but then it almost looks like the pouch gets pulled up in front of the ball after the release. I’ve never seen that before.

That's an awesome camera angle! I would definitely end up throwing my phone on every toss.

This video shows the same pouch behavior but from the opposite angle.

NOC:    So holding my phone in my hand essentially means the phone is rotating during the shot.  Phone starts vertical and rotates about 90 degrees…..kind of follows your thumb motion.

The retention cord start at bottom and does as you notice look like it moves to front.    But if you rotate your phone counter clockwise while the video plays, you can cancel out the rotation in the video, and the  cords and pouch no longer look like they move to the front.

Rhodo:  I have had that video saved in my bookmarks.  Super cool video, incredibly well made, and so informative.  That video and this one inspired me to try to make my “not nearly as nice” own video. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZBDB-y-rJe4
