America's South and Northeast are in the grips of a heatwave.  Here in New Jersey it's going up to 97 today, 104 on Thursday and Friday, 101 on Saturday, and 96 on Sunday.  Of course these temperatures are in Fahrenheit. With our ever present Delaware Valley humidity we should have triple digit heat indexes.  This is very hot for this area, especially for so early in the Summer. 
    I'll walk the dogs in the early morning and skip the late afternoon/evening walk until this is over.  I'm going to lay low under the air conditioner and do as little outside as possible.  As long as the power stays on we'll be OK here. 

    Today is supposed to be the last day of the heat wave.  I closed off a few of the rooms in the house to make it easier on the air conditioner.  We've spent the last two nights sleeping in the livingroom.  We'll do the same tonight.  So far my back has tolerated sleeping in the recliner.  We're supposed to get storms today.  I sure hope the power stays on.  I'm glad it's almost over.  This has really sucked.  Sorry to complain.  I'm an Arctic beast.  I love Winter.
