Pan Sling: A Beginner's Impressions

I am very pleased to have received my first sling from Pan Slings today. They shipped the day after my order and it arrived in 5 days. It came with a carrier and a foam practice ball.
The build quality seems good. I don't know enough about sling materials to be a nerd about it, but the leather feels quality and the 3d-printed components feel solid. I thought it was more paracord wrapped around the release cord to protect it from wear, but it appears to be 3d printed beads. Time will tell how effective they are.
I had only about 30 minutes to take it to the creek for my first ever slinging session. I am focusing on learning how to transfer power through my body for the figure 8. I got a few rocks to go straight, but most of my releases were too late so the projectile just hit the ground ~20 feet in front of me.
I am sure this sling is capable of much much more than my currently non-existent skills. I am excited to really get to know it in the coming months.

Good looking sling. Using a quality sling when you're just getting started makes a difference.
