Practice sling
Mar 2nd, 2026 at 5:35am

Hallo everybody! Allthough I am 62 yesrs old, I am quite new into slinging. I am way better in Building slings than in slinging itself. One reason is The Lack of practice and a Good Place to practice. This is why I drilled a hole in a Tennis ball put a Paracord though with a Loop at one side and a stopping knot on the other side. When you hold the sling, the Tennis Ball Stars in the Center, when you fire that ball, it flys only Till the stopping knot. No need to Go outside to practice and waste ammunition👍. Sorry for all the written mistskes, I am german

Hey welcome to the sport! This is a great idea!

Much like a foxtail, but even closer to an actual sling than the foxtail: https://youtu.be/wOuqQ6YO5jM?t=215

How does it react on release? Does the tennis ball swing back around towards you?

Seems like if you get the release just right, it might pull straight out and stop rather than swinging around. Could be good for training a clean release!

Hey! I mainly use it for learning the correct move of fig. 8! After the picture I put a 20 mm leather disc over the knot. Better grip and the Tennisball makes a nice noise when it Hits the knot
