Duct tape and paracord sling

This is a tutorial for a very simple tennis ball sling made from duct tape and paracord. It is very strong and can be used with large stones from a staff sling as well.

Start with two lengths of paracord each 1.3 metres long.
Seal one end of each with a lighter, the other ends will be cut short later.

Take the sealed ends of each cord and overlap them past each other for 40cm.

Tie a knot using both cords close to where one of them ends. Only leave a little of the short end sticking out.

This is what it looks like when you have tucked the short end and the long end through the loop.

And tighten it up. See how only a little of the short end sticks out.

Flip the cords around and pull them so they are both equally tight. Now tie another knot where the other end is. Both cords in the middle should be tight when you pull on the ends. If one cord is slack, retie one of the knots until the cords are both equal.

Open up your pouch cords like this, nice and symmetrical.
It should be one tennis ball wide.

Now you need some tape 13cm long. Pull on the cords so that they make a triangle and stick the triangle down on the tape with a very slight overlap over the first tape.

Fold and stick the ends of the tape over the cord, this time at an angle.

Cut out the exposed sticky triangles. If they are not symmetrical, cut a bit more away so that it ends up looking neat.
