Okay folks, I got the subtle nudge from CrazyBrave333, so let's get this started.  A lot of the following will be repetitive from previous years (I'm literally going to copy and paste it ), but we gotta go through it.

A quick rundown for any new folks who aren't familiar with it.  The SITH (Sling In The Hat) is our yearly sling exchange.  All forum members are welcome to join.  We'll collect names for about a month, and then do a drawing to see who is sending to who.  If you want to join the fun, just post a reply and let everyone know.  It's that simple!  I'll continually update this first post with a list of everyone who has joined.

Next thing, there are some common SITH questions/concerns that come up often so I'll bring attention to them right away.  There are members of the forum who send multiple slings or include extra gifts in the package.  That is perfectly fine, but in no way required.  Entering the SITH only requires you to send one sling to another member.  Anything extra is totally up to you!  Another thing is sometimes people don't want to join because they're worried the slings they make aren't good enough.  Please don't let that dissuade you.  We're all at different levels of experience, and more importantly we all make slings in very different ways.  The SITH is not a contest.  What most people actually want is a sling like the one you personally use.  It's great to try out a (style of) sling that another member of the forum uses regularly.

We'll need to figure out how we're going break people up for the exchange, but we can worry about that once we get closer to closing time.  Sometimes we break everyone up into pairs, and the pair exchange.  And other times an order is pulled and the first person sends to the second, the second person to the third, etc.  I usually think of it as the domino method.  If you have a vote, feel free to post that as well.  But again, a decision won't be made until we're closing down new entries.

Something else I'll bring up, a not so fun things to talk about.  If anyone was participating last year and didn't get your sling.  Let me know.  You can just post it as a reply, or message me directly if you don't want to call someone out publicly.  We do want to get things sorted out before the person can participate in the SITH again.  Now if there was just some procrastination going on, don't worry about it.  I'll call myself out right now.  I was on the list to send to Rat Man last year.  But I never got the sling done (until just recently).  And it's just getting shipped to him tomorrow or the day after.  If that's not last minute, I don't know what is.  So we can definitely work with any situation.  We just want to make sure everyone gets their sling.
