Good afternoon, slingers friends!
Nov 24^th, 2025 at 6:47am

Good afternoon, friends! My name is Serge. I finally decided to register on the forum, even though this is my fourth year on this forum. I even managed to participate in Channing's online tournaments, for which I would like to thank him very much. I've been interested in sling throwing for the fourth year. I am a physical education teacher in the junior class of a small private school. I have several classes ranging in age from 6 to 12 years old. My Hobbies are sling throwing, sculpture, historical archery.

I really miss YouTube and Facebook. This is a real world library and a storehouse of useful things. I have so many friends there. Unfortunately, now I had to switch to another video hosting service. Now I have a channel called "Sport-Teleport", I continue to host here. https://rutube.ru/channel/29985083/playlists/ https://dzen.ru/sportteleport But I hope they will open it and I will be able to return to my YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/@Snowsergei/videos

Just a few days ago I watched a few of your youtube videos because I wanted to have a good look on your slinging style. It looks so fluent and effortless.

I really like trying out different styles. But lately I've been slinging more and more in the Balearic style. It seems to me that it gives a more stable throw. I'm currently experimenting with wave techniques. I have to post all new videos from 2023 on another channel. I recently made oval balls out of leather and they fly and spin very beautifully in flight.

Friends, for those who do not have the opportunity to throw at a distance of more than 10 meters, There is a topic on the forum where you can post your best series. https://slinging.org/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1787810527

The video must be complete, 10 shots in a row, without sampling and combining the best shots into one series. This is not a tournament, but a creative quest. The task is to understand the size of the target corresponding to the Standard "Balearic target" at 15 meters. Here you can place your targets with a description of the distance and the results.

We now have the opportunity to throw from a sling in the archery club. It is a rather narrow gallery with a length of 18 meters and a width of 5 meters. But you can throw a sling in it. The distance in the video is 16 meters. The "Gopher" target. This is what's left after the archers shoot. It is no longer suitable for archery, but it is quite suitable for a sling.
