Hello! I'm Trent. I'm an expat living in S. Korea, originally from the United States.

I came across Archaic Arms videos one day and figured I'd try making one of those Balearic slings. I think it just popped up in my feed because I like history and making things with paracord. I'm an eagle scout so I think it’s ingrained for me to be tying knots and working with cordage. I'd like to make one of those paracord slings too one of these days.

I've made 2 slings so far using Archaic Arms' video along with Donnerschlag's picture heavy tutorial. Both awesome resources. I'd like to get better and using them, trying to throw around a tennis ball but dont really have a place to really throw it just yet. Would love to get my hands on some esparto, but not very easy for me I think. The one I made below is my second and cleanest attempt made from some kind of jute or hemp twine. If anyone has some recommendations on a good raw fiber to work with over in these parts I'd be happy to hear it.
