Thank you for accepting me. I'm a retired educator and psychologist with an interest in al kinds of weapons, ancient and modern. My interest in slings and slinging dates back to a question one of my university professors posed to final year neurology residents many years ago. It simply read: "How did David kill Goliath?". He was interested in a (very speculative) neurological explanation, but when I learned of the question it took me on a study of the capabilities and physics of ancient slingers and slinging. Now many years later, I have decided to make my own slings and learn the art of slinging, hopefully without further injuring my rotator cuffs and various other joints! I look forward to learning from all of you.
