Sly from Sly and the Family Stone died of COPD on the 9th.  I had the pleasure of seeing them live at The Ice House in Cherry Hill, New Jersey around 1971.  It actually was an ice factory that they converted into an arena.

     Those of you who have been reading my posts know that I've been to MANY concerts.  That said, Sly and the Family Stone was the second best show I ever saw.  They rocked the house like no one else could.  They basically did the same show they put on at Woodstock.
