For most of my life I'd misplace things.  As I kid I was nicknamed "The Absent Minded Professor," the title of an old Disney movie. In my adult life this became a source of supreme annoyance.  I was always searching for keys, my wallet, cigarettes or lighter when I smoked, my cell phone, etc. 
    When I got old I finally got smarter and started putting things in their proper place immediately.  Now I can go years without misplacing anything.  But I am still prone to occasional brain farts.  Like today.  This morning I went to grab my keys from on top of the hutch where I always put them right away as soon as I get home.  They weren't there.  But they had to be... I ALWAYSSSSSSSSS put things in their proper place immediately.  Well this time I didn't.  I spent the next ten minutes tearing through the house, ranting, cursing, and raving like a madman. 
    Eventually I found them in the pocket of a pair of shorts I'd worn a few days before. 
    It isn't normal how much this kind of thing urinates me off.  For a brief time I once again become The Absent Minded Professor.  It makes me crazy.
     So what makes you go nuts?
