I halved the recipe, because this is a test run. The banana I used wasn't as ripe as it probably should have been, but I'm having a bout of delirium caused by a variety of things and so I was eager to try the recipe for its simplicity. And so this isn't as sweet as it would be with a riper banana, and the lack of sugars kept my pancake from getting crispy. It has great potential, however, and necessitates further investigation - probably when I'm not delirious and when there's overripe bananas to use. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

You'll just have to take my word for it. Else, as Rat Man said, try it! I may be delirious but that doesn't mean my taste buds don't work! Only don't trust my results now that I've slept - the pancake is but a vague and distant memory now and I can't remember much of it. I could say it tasted like caramel banana bread and I myself would be none the wiser of whether it did or didn't.

They're always in Produce Junction. If they're all as bad as the one I tried then they wouldn't exist. With that logic I bought another one. It was sweet, nutty, and delicious. Not a hint of chalkiness. That first one I tried was obviously bad; probably too old.

Here are two more; the Sunrise Magic Apple and the Asian Pear.
   The Sunrise Magic Apple is a big, sweet, juicy, crisp apple sort of like a Cosmic Crisp. It's not the best apple I ever had in my life but it certainly is very good and worth buying.
   I first encountered the Asian Pear while stationed in Korea in the mid 70s. It is very mild tasting, sweet, juicy, and crisp. In both taste and texture it reminds me of a cross between a pear and an apple. I ate them often in Korea.
   Then I got sent back Stateside. No more Asian Pears for decades. I missed them. Then I started seeing them again here and there but rarely. Fortunately they're becoming more and more accessible in America. My local Produce Junction has them most of the time now. In Korea they were huge, like Grapefruit size. The ones I get here now are the size of apples. But they taste the same so it's cool.

This morning I made this again but threw a couple of handfuls of dried cranberries into the batter. It's a winner.

Morphy... I tried my first Durian Fruit last week with my GF Margie. The one we got had been shipped from the Philippines frozen then thawed in my refrigerator. When I cut into it I expected a God awful stink but there was almost none. It didn't develop any stink until it warmed up later. Then it really stunk!
I am very adventurous about trying new foods. Margie isn't. It was surprising to me that she liked it a lot while I didn't care for it. To me it tasted like rotten fruit. I could choke it down if I had to but it wasn't pleasant tasting to me.

Oh man, Durian! My wife is Chinese and she loves the stuff, I can't handle the smell and have to ventilate the house when she has it. I *can* eat it but don't love it.

She just made a ton of coke wings (可乐鸡翅), which I'm a huge fan of.
https://redhousespice.com/coca-cola-chicken-wings/ is a good recipe. Very sweet and umami, a little freshness from green onion, pairs great with rice.

Prickly Pear also called Cactus Pear. The flesh is mild and sweet but there's a fly in the ointment. The seeds are a real buzz kill. You take one small mouthful and you're spitting seeds for the next five minutes. As pleasant as its flavor and texture are I probably won't buy it again due to the seeds.
Edit: The color is off in the bottom picture. The flesh is red, not brown. It looks more appetizing than my picture.

Nice! Gorgeous colour on the interior. I love prickly pears, I try to hit some nearby prickly pear cacti whenever the fruits are in season (october-january where I'm at), but I missed last year's season. The seeds are obnoxious, but you can juice the pulp and bypass the seeds that way, and you can make beverages, jellies, and candies with the juice. I just swallow the seeds, personally. I've heard stories of the seeds causing blockages (Chad Zuber on youtube as an example) but you would need to absolutely gorge yourself on them to have any real concern.

The nopales are also quite nice. Tastes a little like green beans, has a snotty texture, but overall quite palatable.

Yeah the red skinned white flesh dragon fruits tend to be a bit bland. You will want to try a yellow-skinned dragon fruit at some point, if you didn't find the red-skin white-flesh dragon fruit abhorrent. The yellow ones are smaller, look significantly more cactus-like, and are SUPER sweet

You might have to order yellow dragon fruits online, as I'm uncertain how rare they are up in New Jersey. They also tend to be a little pricey, compared to other more common fruits

Mustard Greens:
I love all greens. They've always been a big part of my diet. Mustard Greens are different from most other greens in that they have a little bit of heat. Not the lasting Capsaicin type heat you get from Chili Peppers. It's more like the hit and run heat you get from Horse Radish but somewhat more mild. I've heard them described as refreshing. Use them as you would any other greens.
If you like greens or love them like I do I highly recommend Mustard Greens.
