The Mount Pleasant Inn is open at noon.
It is a sky sports lager bar but also serves a very good pint of Hand pull Bass bitter.
There are expecting 4 or 5 cars of a bunch of mates going for a walk across the road .
They are happy to serve drinks afterwards.

If you need food afterwards less than a mile away is Swadlincote High Street with cafes and a Morrisons supermarket.

If you need help with public transport or picking up from bus/coach/train station.... let me know👍

Waterproofs to appease the rain gods would be good. 😁👍

The UK Slingers meet up is of course to Honour Curious Aardvarks memory but also about fun.... I think he may have approved !

So prizes are decided for a small competition.

For those who wish to take part .... other sports have their "cry" or alert call .... cowboys at rodeo Yee Harr, Tennis Oooof, Rugby the Haka, Cricket -Owzat!

The competition is ; to come up with an appropriate alert call for sport slinging.
Entrants will be invited to give a brief explanation of their choice before demonstrating it with (or without) a sling throw.

Winner decided by popular acclaim or if unclear a vote.

As we are in the final countdown to UK Slingers Meetup I think it will be a good thing to guarantee a group photo of attendees.
I am happy to snap away with my camera phone but it means any group photo will always have someone missing.
So please could I have a volunteer to either,
Bring a camera and tripod to take delayed shutter release pictures
Or
Have a volunteer to 'photoshop' images to include all.
