Greetings from Brazil

Hi there, everyone!!!

I'm Saulo, from Brazil, and I'm intending to learn about slinging not only to add one more 'thing' to me, but for sure to have new skills to show to my daughters and a group of scouts that I'm Leader! As we say: skills for life!

I'm pretty sure i'll have much stuff to read, learn and practice here! Thank you very much for adding me here!

Take care u'all!

My outlook on life is Aristotalean; on seeing an Acorn I see a potential oak tree rather than Plato's view that it is a failed copy.

First things first, one step at a time! I've built my first sling with some nylon rope (4mm, ~5/32") and an old bag strap (1.1/2" wide), on idea from Mersa's videos on YouTube. Just to improve building skills, and try some shots after my shoulder mobility comes back (I fell down while running with some Scouts on my troop, almost broke it, LoL)...

Let's see what will happen!

I found starting the whipping with a constrictor knot helps immensely!

He then took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones from the streambed and placed them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag, and his sling was in his hand. And he began approaching the Philistine.  David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine.  David thrust his hand into his bag and took a stone from there and slung it. He struck the Philistine in the forehead...
