Hello folks,

I've been slinging for 6 years already, starting at the end of elementary school. Me and my friends were always trying to come up with homemade weapons at that age and eventually came across videos of slingers on youtube, so after many failed homemade crossbows and other contraptions, we finally decided to take some old shoes and make slings from the leather. They worked like a charm... except in my hands. But after a few months I picked the technique up and became quite proficient with it.

Since then the sling was pretty much always in my pocket when going anywhere outside. Especially on my beloved Islands in Dalmatia that I visit often. I made a multitude of slings, mostly from rope and know how to braid a few kinds of slings from memory. Most of them I gave away to my cousins and friends, but if I make something nice enough in the future I'm willing to sell it if anybody would be intersted.

I also tried staff slings, stick slings, bola, and a 3 meter sling, if you folks are intersted in my expirience of those. By now I've succsesfully made a functioning crossbow and Even have a pistol crossbow, but a sling will always have a special place in my heart and my pocket.

Anyway, I've used information from this forum in the past for my slinging journey and am glad to be part of this community.
