ScupltCrete

Found this stuff on Amazon after going to Home Depot and realizing just how toxic actual concrete mixture can be.  It's been sitting in my closet 'cause I want to try making a roller (thinking 4in PVC might be a good starting point).

So I figured I'd ask if anyone else has heard of/used it.  If you have, what're your thoughts on it?

TIA!

Apparently no one else has tried it.  You'll have to be our guinea pig.

I guess so!  Any advice on making a roller?  I saw someone use a bait roller for fishing and immediately thought it could be adapted to make glandes (which is prob'ly exactly what the model CA made was for, I just don't have a printer).  I thought PVC would be a good start, but didn't realize how expensive 3"-4" pipes were.  I'm trying to find something else that size that might be workable.  Also need to check out a plumbing store to see if they have scrap pipes.

In my most recent post I experimented with making a roller out of plastic pipe. Here in europe large diameter pipe is cheap if you buy the canalisation or drainage pipe/downpipe instead of the thick PVC stuff.

In that post I also have a formula for kneadable concrete. As it do happens, I'm going to test it tomorrow.

I was looking into concrete, but was deterred by all the warnings of cancer and special handling.  This stuff seemed like a good alternative/compromise.

With a Dust mask and rubber coated gloves you'll be fine. I used to do landscaping work and despite handling literal tons of concrete, I'm fine  Grin

Check out Mr. Jaegoor.
He has done a video of clay glandes and turning them out very quickly with a board and hawk ... 2 bits of wood, one with a handle.
Good luck.
