Removable/Modular Pouch
Apr 21st, 2024 at 4:51pm

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has made a 'sleeve' or something similar so smaller ammo can be used in a split pouch. I was thinking of ways to make it where it could slip on like a sleeve or maybe be tied on. I am not creative enough to make it out of paracord though

Hi! Generally, the two "legs" of the pouch will contract when the sling is whirled. And even before whirling, they should lie side by side if the sling isn't made from a springy material. So you don't really need to put a sleeve over it to accomodate small projectiles.

It’s the reason I like webbing so much is it acts more like a split pouch but doesn’t have an actual void in the pouch. There is a slit but I can hold a wide range of projectiles

Interesting. I made a sling years ago following a simple tutorial that had a "z" pouch. It was a single length of paracord and took 30 seconds to make. That's been my only experience with slings so far. I'll look at other materials and designs. Thank you for the replies!
