First Balearic Sling in jute.

Just finished my Balearic Sling in jute with leather trims. Sling given a liberal application of Gold Label Dubbin. It feels great. Will update when used.

Good idea putting leather in the pouch - my first sling was made from jute, was much thinner, and was ripped asunder by jagged quartz rocks after a few weeks.

First throws lacked commitment and confidence as it's much longer than my para-cord slings, but great fun nonetheless if a tad inaccurate . More practice needed but will report back. Any throwing advice gratefully accepted

Reply #8 - Feb 4^th, 2024 at 2:16pm Jute is my favorite material to work with. Jute slings don't last as long as Paracord or Polypropylene slings do but.... Jute is very easy to work with because it has almost no memory. It's as cheap as dirt and makes a good looking rustic sling. Edit: And unlike sisal it's easy on your hands.
