The other day I created an account for a new member.  He was able to log in okay, but he replied to my email and said he was trying to send a private message but getting an error.  He also mentioned that Curious Aardvark had welcomed him to the site, and that's who he was trying to message.  Obviously that seemed strange (not to mention impossible) to me, so I replied and told him that it couldn't have been CA because he passed away last year.  Our new member then sent me a screenshot of the message, and sure enough it was a welcome from Curious Aardvark!

Some may already know what happened here.  New accounts get an automated private message that comes from CA's account.  This functionality just slipped my mind.  I looked in the admin center and was able to find where these messages are generated.  So I'll be updating that soon.  But the situation did give the two of us an eerie feeling for a short time, and then a good laugh after.
