Fistbraiding: Tutorial series

Hello together,
I started a tutorial series covering the basics of fistbraiding. See here for the first three videos covering the basics.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vp1bVzvMNgY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlVUT8VdIqA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akhbQJUZ8yU
If I find time I will add more and more videos going into further details.
In the meantime feel free to ask questions, show your braids, or say what you would like to see next.
Enjoy!

Great tutorials, Teg! The process was explained very well and it was easy to follow
I found your videos quite helpful and am glad to say that they have brought me one step closer to making a Peruvian or Tibetan sling some day! Thank you

Once, Toivo and Eino were out hunting, and before setting out, Toivo told Eino to fire three shots in the air if he got lost, and Toivo would find him. Soon enough, Eino got lost, aimed his weapon up and prayed: "God, please let Toivo see my arrows!"

Magnificent!
I've always been kind of intimidated by fist braiding and never tried it. But you certainly make it look easy. I'll have to give this a shot.
A couple ideas if you continue the series:
Show how to split the braid and create the pouch.
Show how to include core strands and incorporate them into the braid to make patterns.

Very cool. I'm getting back into making wool slings now so I will have to give some of this stuff a go. I've actually yet to complete a fully fist braided sling, the furthest I got was about 60% but it was so slow I gave up
