Spear Fishing legality
May 20th, 2023 at 2:08pm

Hello,

One of my brothers (who is not currently a forum member) was wondering about the legality of spear fishing in Michigan. He was thinking of thrusting and throwing a simple spear with some paracord tied to it to prevent loosing it in the river.

Does anyone know about the legalities of this?

Once, Toivo and Eino were building a house, but as Toivo worked, he would occasionally throw a nail over his shoulder. When Eino asked why he was being so wasteful, he said, “The heads are on the wrong side!” Eino looked at him and said, “You dummy, those are for the other side of the house!”

Yeah, it's a really similar idea.

Easiest thing to do is go online to the Michigan Fish & Game website and read the current regulations...

I'll tell my brother to check that out.
