What kind of music do you all listen to?

Other than Disco I like everything... Classical, Jazz, Bluegrass, Rock, Folk, Country, Blues, whatever.  As long as it's well done.  What I listen to mostly is Rock, Classical, and Jazz.

Like Rat Man, I like a wide range of genres, as long as the music is well-made. My main go-to music is some rock and alternative bands.

Though I can safely say I despise modern day pop music. It's completely void of morality and takes no skill to compose. Really it's just there to hook people on the corrupt music industry.

I like rock and classic rock, plus some songs from various other genres. I agree with Rat Man, pretty much all well-done music is good. Also, like Yfir, I don't like much of the new music, as much of it is not well-done.

Some of the bands I usually listen to are The Beatles, Toto, Queen, The Cure, Styx, Matchbox Twenty, Kansas, Elton John, John Mellencamp/Cougar, Supertramp, The Who, America, Journey, etc.

Once, Toivo and Eino were building a house, but as Toivo worked, he would occasionally throw a nail over his shoulder. When Eino asked why he was being so wasteful, he said, “The heads are on the wrong side!” Eino looked at him and said, “You dummy, those are for the other side of the house!”

For me the best time for Rock was the late 60s through the early 70s.  It was a great time to be young and going to concerts. There were acts like the Beatles, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Hendrix, Led Zep, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, etc.  And there was Woodstock.  A lot of it was new, ground breaking stuff.

I listen to 50s-80s rock, plus a ton of Anglo-Scottish Folk Music

I play doumbek and cajon folk drums, Scottish bass drum, mountain dulcimers, zithers and Amglo-Saxon lyres, and mirliton and pennywhistle flutes.

I'm listening to The Beatles White Album now.  That is one strong album from start to finish.
Neither Steppenwolf or The Guess Who is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  I find this astonishing.

I usually turn on classic rock if I want music on while I'm doing something.  I also like classical and other orchestral stuff.  I like celtic music a lot, whether it be folk, rock, etc.

In general I'll listen to pretty much anything other than rap or hip hop.  I just never like that kind of stuff.

Anna Fedorova;  this woman is brilliant.  If you'll notice the rest of the orchestra has sheet music.  She always plays these long, intricate, complicated pieces off the top of her head.  She has many YouTube vids.  They are all amazing.

Classic Rock, Rock,  New Wave from the 80s. I suppose its old af wave now. Classical music is wonderful. Rachmaninoffs piano concerto #2 being a favorite. Also Vivaldis 4 seasons and Tchaikovsky's Nut Cracker. The 3rd movement of Moonlight Sonata and many others.

I refuse to get into rap and most modern music. My goodness modern music is an absolute sh*t show. No offense to all of you now that Ive just been incredibly offensive. Its just not for me.

I've never really liked rap either. It's usually too loud and has too much foul language.

Agreed. I know it takes skill but it's not for me.

There are a handful of Rap songs that I like.  But as Morphy said, it's not for me.
