The one with 2 legged suspension is a bit wobbly, but it's not too bad because the pouch has some sink to it, meaning the center of gravity is a bit deeper. The 3 legged y-sling has excellent stabiltity with the release slit being wide enough for the ammo to pass through. 4 legged suspension could work, but then the suspension strings would be closer together again thus acting as a single 'wide' string, but yes it would add stability. Yes, having them split very close to the pouch would be how I would do it then. I'll consider it for the next one. As to the Jewish comment, I mean no insult to them, it's just that it looks like a yarmulke. If others here think it inappropiate I will delete what I said.
