New sling designs

Something new for once.

Circular sling pouch.

benefits:
-it's good for a bird shot pebble load.
-so far the best pouch that I've found for Y-slings as well.

Pouch with split release cord. With this Y-sling design, you can use a wide-grip, because of how secure the pouch retains the projectile. Because the projectile is seated more in between both retention and release cord, the weight distribution / pull on both cords is similar to that of a normal sling.

Interesting design.  Although the Jewish crack is a bit insensitive.

The two-cord version looks a bit unstable.  Think about each cord  splitting into a Y just before it gets to the pouch, so there are two places the cord attaches to on each side.

The one with 2 legged suspension is a bit wobbly, but it's not too bad because the pouch has some sink to it, meaning the center of gravity is a bit deeper.
The 3 legged y-sling has excellent stabiltity with the release slit being wide enough for the ammo to pass through.
4 legged suspension could work, but then the suspension strings would be closer together again thus  acting as a single 'wide' string, but yes it would add stability. Yes, having them split very close to the pouch would be how I would do it then. I'll consider it for the next one.
As to the Jewish comment, I mean no insult to them, it's just that it looks like a yarmulke. If others here think it inappropiate I will delete what I said.

It is an interesting design.  I wonder what the spread would look like when slinging multiple projectiles at once as compared to a more elongated "normal" pouch.

This design is interesting. A few tests are necessary to valid these slings.

I did test them yesterday. The Y-sling works exactly as I expected with a very quick release. This requires a total adaptation of the slinger if you are used to a normal sling, regarding release timing and also style so not to strain the muscles. The normal one works as I expected. Considering both are somewhat thin corded slings/ no wind-up throwing styles worked better with both in my testing. The pouch are not as aerodynamic as split pouch or narrow elongated pouches. This is probably because the pouch looks like a parachute. This is my conclusion after yesterdays tests, so 'what you'd expect' from looking at them is very close to real life.
