That is very interesting, that seem to line up with the weights I’m getting from dirt clay ammo I’m playing around with for similar shape and size

Rock density are often between 2 and 3 grams per 1 cm3. So, the weights are relatively close.

For now, I don't know.
April may, I'll contact the museum to prepare my visit.
I still need volunteers for the size of their hands  Sad but my project is progressing  Smiley

Very late !
These bullets were made with the method between two rocks. Depending of the gesture, the result may vary a little. In addition, any defects in the pebble may not be corrected.
The diameters are not always quite round. But 11 out of 15 bullets respect this value of 1 inch or 2.5 cms. Examples : 2.4/2.5 cms, 2.5/2.5 cms, 2.2/2.5 cms and 2.0/2.7 cms for the most flat.
My photos are not very good.

2 examples of defects :

Photo 1 : pebble defect
There is a hollow in the stone near the label.

Photo 2 : the bullet at the bottom right
Missing tip from shock.
It's the most flat, the pebble is straight on half of the bottom. This defect cannot be corrected during the polishing. Diameter : 2.0/2.7 cms.

My hypothesis is that polishing stops when the diameter of the stone corresponds to the phallanx of the index. I contacted the archeological service of French Polynesia, but they didn't deign to answer. Thanks for them.
