I went shopping for halloween candy on halloween and the shelves were already 3/4 filled with Christmas candies.

That stocking cap actually looks pretty comfortable. Does anyone know why they are made to have such long caps that hang down? Is it functional in some way?

This is a good photo. Worthy of a frame me thinks.
As to warm hats - I have taken to wearing a shemagh also called a kufiya and other names. Lots on Youtube about these.
Said to be in use for over 2 500 years. Though the Turkish cave wall slinger image thought to be 7 000 years old depicts a figure wearing a shemagh I think. Shepherds wear all white head scarfs. I was reading they are thought to be angels.
A keffiyeh could be part of a slinger's signature costume. Worn anytime and during practice.

Lol, it's a father Christmas hat, don't you guys have them in the states ?
Give it ten years and the beard will be white enough for a seasonal job in a grotto.

Always used to wear one when I delivered Christmas systems.

They usually come from the pound shop.
This one must have cost a bit more as it's really thick and soft Smiley

Just one of the things that came to light during my workshop  clean out.
Which is also why I know where all my old pyro gear is Smiley (for the hippo challenge)
