Submit your personal high scores here!
Lets get some friendly competition going, even if it's just with yourself!

Post a link to uncut video of you slinging one of the categories, and it shall be added to the board. A segment of a longer video is valid, only the chosen sequence must be left unedited.
If you later beat your personal best, it will replace your old one on the board.

Category suggestions are welcomed!

Standard Balearic (10 shots, all ammo valid)
Target: 120cm square (1 point) 50cm circle (2 points)

I'll put up some scores to get the ball rolling.

13m: 18+8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DmqjjuysTU

20m: 14+5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRHnI_pw7c8 (12 shots, but only 10 shot sequence counts)

30m: 10+3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BtHIz_KbBU 1:51-4:00 (30 shots, but only 10 shot sequence counts)

Others I found:

Mersa 13m: 18+8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sNJW2xnuNg

So is that 18 points with 8 Diana's
Or 18 hits with 8 Diana's - which would be 26 points

Or something else entirely Smiley
And are you counting points doubled for 30metres ?

I like the high score board!

Unfortunately my highest (13m) isn't on video.  During a practice session right before recording for the PP comp, I scored a 17+7.  I really wish I had the camera going for the practice session.  Definitely a fluke.  Don't think I'll ever do that again.

And the highest score that I have on video is edited.  Sad
It was one of the rounds during my 100 Ball video.  I think it was the 9th round I got a 15+6.

I'll get another one at some point to post.

I might have a 20m to post though.  It's one I sent to Channing, but I really don't know what's happening with the PP comp lately.  I know some weeks got delayed because he was doing Ibiza videos, but I don't know if the round is going to get used or not.  Whether it is or not, I'll post the link here after this Saturday.  It's nothing record breaking, but it's a 20m round I was really happy with.

@ig - you did not read the question
What does the 18 + 8 mean ?
18 what, plus 8 wgat
Because it's not obvious and I know pep changed stuff recently.

@CA - Your first description was correct.  18+8 means a total of 18 points, with 8 of the hits being dianas, in 10 throws.  So the rounds AA and Mersa did will be 8 dianas, two quad hits, and no misses.

Here's the 20m round I mentioned in my other post, 10+3

@CA, You are correct. I didn't read your question right.
The "+" notation is something Pep (iirc) used when posting scores, and we just copied it. Something better would be 18(8).

@Joe. That was an awesome round. I love how much speed you're getting on those hits.

Yes like Joe and IG said, the + indicates number of dianas. I'm in favour of keeping the scoring consistent no matter the distance, but it depends what people want. For the time being, 30m is normal scoring (quadro=1, diana=2).

I like this suggestion a lot. It a small change, but it avoids the + confusion and people still will know what you're talking about.

I think 30m should stay as normal scoring.  In a competition I could see 30m having higher point totals.  Especially if points for different distances are going to be combined at the end.  But in this topic I think the score is really just to show how many times the slinger hit the target.  Having 30m worth more points doesn't help that.

How were point totals displayed in Ibiza this year?  Did anyone see?

I like the + notation
It’s not that confusing once you know. What is confusing is changing how we write it.
I work in metric usually but still mesure a sling folded in inches.
