Backhand

Has anyone mastered the backhand style? Any videos?

I have been trying but it is weak and inaccurate.

Sarosh does a reasonable backhand.

Personally, I haven't tried. But I can't imagine it would ever be that effective. I'll give it a go. And +1 to what Mersa said, Sarosh can do it.

When I was first learning slinging, I was playing around coming up with different techniques. Backhand underhand worked very well to get a powerful cast, but with low accuracy. At the time, It was more powerful than I could do with normal sidearm.
Maybe I should take a clip of what I'm describing, however, the technique quickly became redundant and not as powerful, as I became better at slinging.

Yes this would be interesting, I have seen a relief with slingers seemingly underhand, but I could not think how to get a powerful throw with this technique...

Okay, so nothing fancy, so what's the problem ?
Looks pretty simple Smiley

And tint acroballustics is Sarosh Smiley

I have no clue why he's called it Parthian.

Maybe just closed his eyes and threw a dart at a list of random  names.

Seems to be how most things get named round here Smiley

I can think of one use for it.
Would be a good style to use with your off hand.
So right handers do backhand with their left hand, and vice versa.

Other than that, doesn't  seem to have any merit beyond collecting sling styles, which I do Smiley

Hmmm... I want to like it but I cant understand exactly how to make it work. Is it for target or distance? So much body movement and not facing the target for so much of the throw I think would make aiming difficult.

One thing I actually kind of love about it is the surprise aspect. If you started out facing away as the man does in the video you could get a shot off fast without revealing too much of whats going on.

Cool looking throw.  But yeah, not sure what it could really be used for.  Maybe if you're sneaking around a corner and have to get a throw off really quick, but the wall is on your right hand side.  Grin

Dual wielding, spin your body in one direction, throw 2 in rapid succession.

I'll have to try it.  It looks like it would be a weaker style but I really can't say until I've done it.
