Good find.
To follow up to a recent post, there is no fingerloop and the straps are equal.
Holding the sling is probably in full hand. Just my idea.

I do see a loop on one end of the cord. Look closely.
If I had to guess how they gripped it I would guess a 'tight grip / full fist'
due to the long length

At the place of "the loop", the strap is seen from the side. So I'm pretty skeptical.
Just my idea but I think that there is no fingerloop.
But it's just my idea.

The fingerloop has a ponpon. I don't know if ponpon is an english word. It's rather elegant. On a French study, I saw the ponpon made with a tuft of human hair.

The discussion may not be about coconuts.  Cheesy
But about fingerloop. By looking closely, the fingerloops don't look like the ones we do today.

The gip was probably "full hand" with a "fixing" loop for a finger. It's kind of my idea.
