Bit of fun with clay whistle-shot.

So cool man. That is beautiful ammo. Have you experimented with hole placement and the effect on the whistle sound?

Nice! I do enjoy seeing slinging from an incoming point of view.

Cheers! I have only really experimented with hole size and depth; not playing around with the hole placement too much. Planning to do another video with clay, but with different noisy designs.

Thanks Joe! It's really the only way you can properly test projectiles like this, but sometimes they can get a bit too close for comfort...

Just so I know what to watch out for and listen for in the future, how far away from me was that sniper?
Can I stop running away now?

Great video! The whistling sound is not as intense as one could think...

When I go back I will try and get some proper measurements. I believe the long view was at minimum 60m from the slinger (using google earth) First thing that struck me with the clay bullets was how well they flew (even compared to rounded stones) so with that sling you would very definitely be in range at 200m, haha.

Thank you! Yes that is definitely the fault of those bullets. I'm working on a much improved design, which should be many times louder and more terrifying than those clay bumblebees that whistle now and then on their way to work...

Scariest sounding ones I've made have been lead half sinkers, made by casting into one half side of the mold so there's a flat side on top.

I saw that you have a consistent amount of pre rotations
This is an excellent habit and it looks professional

Yes I found that one pre-rotation before the power-stroke rotation gets me into to the position for full power, while maintaining the same level of accuracy and much faster shot to shot time.
