May 16th, 2022 at 4:34pm

Moin everyone and greetings from the coast of germany, my name is Falk and I just picked slinging up again last year. Had like 15 years of break inbetween and wasn't that good in the first place Grin So now I try to derust my slinging skill between work and everyday live. Thanks for having me

Welcome from Pennsylvania, USA!

Nice looking slings!  What do you normally use for projectiles?

Thank you. First I used stones primarily but I exchanged them with clay balls because as silly as it sounds good stones are hard to come by in my area. I found a source for nice iron cast balls, they're great because they are consistent in size and weight. After I broke some roof tiles on my shed I reconsidered and now I use tennis balls when in my backyard Wink, better for the integrity of my property, my neighbors health and the integrity of my neighbors property Grin. In the near future I get a mold for lead balls but I don't consider throwing them, it's just for having them in my assortment. I still have stones and iron balls around but when I'm on a walk I typically only throw clay balls now because they decay completely and are cheap.
As for the iron balls big ones 170g(0.37lbs) 35mm(0,138"), small ones 110g(0.24lbs) 30mm(0,118"), stones everything from 100g(0.22lbs) up to 200g(0.44lbs) and clay ball around 150g(0.33lbs). I hope I got the conversion right (trying to learn it Wink)

Welcome from Minnesota!

Nice looking slings!

Where did you get those iron balls from? They look like great sling projectiles.

Thank you very much. I've got them online, at a shop that sells materials for iron-art. They are great because of consistency and only expensive over time, if you keep losing them  Grin like me  Wink
