I don't buy steak much these days because of its price but once in a while it's a nice change of pace.  How do you like yours? 
     In my home growing up steak was served rare.  It was generally quite bloody.  These days I'm not really particular.  I can eat it anywhere from raw to cooked hard.  I usually have it medium rare, unless it's a really good cut like Prime Rib or Filet Mignon.  Then I like it very rare.  Mooing.  My favorite cut is probably Ribeye.  It's got the right flavor and fat content for my taste. 
    When I eat steak I want to taste the steak, not a bunch of bizarre spices or steak sauce.  A little Garlic salt and black pepper are the only things I need. Fried onions and mushrooms are OK though.
