Slinging makes another appearance on Dual Survival. Season 7, Episode 9. This time our survivalists are Bill and Grady on an African adventure. Bill wears a sling belt and at 33.50 he decides to use it to take out a Guinea Fowl. His form is abysmal. It's sort of a very poor Apache. It's obvious he never used a sling before that day. Grady eventually gets the bird with a Rabbit Stick.
I linked the video, it’s the second post in the thread. The kicker is that I don’t think the throwing stick does anything since it pretty much goes right over the head.
It’s also hilarious since the Guinea fowl is probably domesticated (though they look the same as wild ones).

Agreed. He totally didn't hit that bird. You can see it start running away after the stick goes by.
The commentary is also hilarious.
"My first throw is dead on." - Uh, no. It was close, but you missed.
"Boom. Feathers and dust fly." - Maybe dust. Definitely no feathers.

Maybe the stick gave the bird a heart attack.

I don't know why the hell I watch it but I do.
Damn thats just tv in general these days lol.
I would assume any hunt with a sling on a show like that is staged and it would take a lot of evidence to sway my thinking. We all know how hard it is. In TV/Movie production time is money. They cant wait around for a real kill.

At least Matt looked like he'd used a sling before. Bill was pathetic.
