Greetings! If you are up for a challenge for your first sling, may I suggest Teg's twining (twine-ing) over sticks method. It may seem intimidating to see at first, but actually doing it is pretty easy. It makes a beautiful sling as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pM4qah0Ijwk

If you want something quicker that is still all cordage, a "Rockman" is pretty fast to make and a decent sling (named after the user who first posted it)

Welcome from Pennsylvania, USA!

IG has some good suggestions.  Or if you have a picture of another sling that you have in mind, someone may be able to point you in the right direction.

Welcome, Chee;
   I suggest what we call a pj (Five Strand Sheep Shank) sling.  It's very versatile and easy to use.  I looked for pj's original tutorial but it's unfortunately missing.  Here's my way of making one.   Some of the tutorials are corrupted with irrelevant pictures. Ignore the first few.
