Well last I heard Austria was back in lockdown and I think that was Before Omicron.
Mersa, why not start with a small local event ?
I realise Oz is bloody massive and while we have quite a few Aussie slingers, you might all be thousands of miles apart for all I know.
But start small, contact your local paper and see if there's any interest.
You've got a couple of slinging mates, so running an event isn't difficult.
Having a free invite for random members of the public, does raise h&s issues in many countries
But if you stick to tennis balls, you shouldn't need expensive insurance.
And if you charge a small fee, and include a basic sling and a free tennis ball, you should be able to cover costs as well.
The butterfly slings are really quick and simple to make. And you can use a variety of materials, from tent canvas, double denim, cheap leather ,(hunt, trap and skin an old sofa
You'd be surprised just how much leather there is in an old sofa or settee or armchair.
Not a clue what internal flights cost. But there might be a forum member or two, within travel distance.
International event in Oz is always going to be tough.
It's not just the cost if the flights, it's a full 24 hours of travelling to get there from most places.
At the moment, I think we are looking at the latter half of the year for Any event - at the earliest.
Although I did have an email from pep this morning that I haven't looked at yet, so who knows what he's thinking
( Looks at email)
Well without resorting to Google translate, it looks like a presentation commentating some explorers (Magellan) circumnavigation of the globe
So nothing to do with slinging.
