I want to add a new “thing” to slinging. It’s the 30 round.  Which is simply speaking 13 meters/ 30 shots at a standard Balearic target with tennis balls. No edits, no cuts. When watching people’s videos simply play it back at double speed if you wish or do like NOOC did and provide both the original no cut and then the edited for easier viewing. The key here is there must be a video that is unedited and uncut of the entire 30 round for it to count as one if it’s going to be posted with an official score. 

I do have to admit I did not make up the idea of a 30 round.  In Archery there is the 300 round which is called such because it involves shooting 30 arrows each with a maximum score of 10 points yielding a maximum possible score of 300 points. 

It takes about an hour and one thing that is well known about the 300 round is that if you really want to do it at a high level it is quite mentally taxing due to the focus over the extended period of time.

Enter the 30 round. With a 30 round you can say good bye to cherry picking. Sure you can get 5 shots in a row that are great on video but good luck doing that with 30. Especially multiple 30 rounds. Your averages WILL show up which is really great because it will help you grow. (Although don’t worry for us this won’t take anywhere near an hour to do. More like 3-7 minutes).

More than that it’s a great mental focus exercise for slingers and the degree of focus we need for high levels of accuracy is right up there with the hardest weapons in the world.

It's all good.  Saw you throwing right-handed in the competition and started thinking maybe you were ambidextrous. 

I tried slinging left a long time ago.  Kind of feels like slinging for the first time.  Sarosh has done a bunch of practice with left handed.

Yeah, crazy huh?!  I was definitely summoning my inner Mersa for that round.

For me I just like watching slinging. It literally rained all day yesterday. I wouldve liked nothing more than to put up a playlist of Sorg members doing 30 rounds on my tv while building my new sling. Geez come to think of it that sounds a lot like an addiction lol.

Good session Morphy.  It threw me off at first.  I didn't read the title and was wondering why you were under the target with everything. 

I've started making ice for a 30 round (don't have enough of anything else).  I should be able to do one in the next few days.  I asked Santa Claus for some tennis balls, but he didn't come through yet.  I've been told he will be visiting me on New Years Day.

I think I'm giving up target slinging.  It's just shields, destruction, and great big stones for me from here on out.
