Walk to sling or sling when walking ?

For my sanity (ha!)
For my well being,
For Fitness.
I have started a regime of Monday walks.
Pictures of quarry in another thread
Last week I had a 10 mile day and did a 10 mile circular walk in the glorious peak District national park and walked Birchen edge to Curbar gap and back down Baslow edge.
Didn't do a lot of slinging but half hour or so.

The week before I went totally mad and drove to Cleethorpes.
This is a seaside resort.
The weather was with me.
I spent the day walking on sand and paddling in the sea but virtually no slinging as rocks were a rarity !
At the end of the day I was rewarded with moonrise over rough sands fort.

Not a long walk but loadsa alabaster chips and some pebbles.
Nothing went bang but fun was had.

After more than 40 years of dogs, the idea of going for a walk without a dog, simply does not compute.
So usually I sling while walking.
If I get visitors, then we'll usually go for a sling walk, sans dogs.
But on my own ?
Nope, that would just be totally weird.

For me, “going for a walk” is a euphemism for going to sling.

I always try to have at least one sling on me and if we go anywhere near water (sea or lake) I'll be chucking every stone I find into the water or until my wife drags me away.

i go outside and walk on paths where i can sling, but i like going outside without slings too (if you force yourself to do something all the time, it becomes annoying and i want to keep having fun with my slings)
