what i know is:
a loud sling should have a tapered release cord.
a loud sling should be heavy.
a loud sling should be long, but not too long.
Now its your turn, what are your secrets for a loud sling

my slings make the loudest bang when a long heavy stone gets tangled and they break, it happens only once per sling.

I don’t have an example.
I was more a statement.
Principles are the same as a whip, you are wanting the energy to transfer along the release cord and finally break the sound barrier.
Personally I prefer a quiet sling for my applications. But I suspect that any tapered release cord with a cracker will make a loud pop. Perfecting it will be about materials and ratios.

I already have a idea, but i need some time for that (it will take about 4-5 days)

I use both. If i am shooting in public places, i use quiet slings. If i am alone, i like having very loud slings. I got attacked by a dog today and used my sling to scare it away (i shot a stone next to it and cracked my sling like a whip) and no, the dogs owner was not there

I get my loudest cracks with braided jute slings. Hemp is pretty loud too. One thing you have to be careful of. You'd think the longer the cracker the louder the crack. This holds true to a point. One time (just once) I made a sling with a four inch cracker. It cracked very well... right across the palm of my hand, leaving a painful welt. With crackers you can definitely have too much of a good thing.

I think my standart balearic slings are pretty loud, just a heavy sling with a plastic or paracord guts cracker at the end of a tapered release cord. You don't want to be standing on my left side when I am slinging, not only because of rocks falling out of the pouch, but also because it will make your ears ring when it cracks.

the loudest sling in slinging.org history was created by matthias.
he used lead core fishing line and got a proper pistol shot crack from it.
Never would make me one
I'll see if i can find the thread.

Now i just need to track down the video.
Hmm, should be a forum backup in my workshop somewhere.

I can't find the video but maybe this will trigger someone's memory. I remember seeing a video of a very loud cracking sling. If I remember correctly, I think it had some kind of metal core. I could be wrong though.
