Using snake knot for the pouch .
Aug 22nd, 2021 at 11:13pm

Decided to experiment with simpler knots and less cordage
4 strand round braid for the  cords
And 2 strand snake knot for each side of the. Pouch .

Each section is ended off with a simple overhand knot .

That's different. I like the little golf ball holder in the middle Smiley

i like the idea, but i dont think it is as stable as a flat braid or a woven pouch.
It would  be cool if you could compare it to a more traditional pouch

True, but I'd think the extra loop in the center prevents the lips of the pouch from opening too widely and the consequent slip-through.

Nice looking sling.  Please post smaller pictures.  I fixed this one for you. Thanks.

if the projectile is caught between the pouch and the loop in the center, it would be released to late. That would make the sling less consistent. (just my opinion, i didnt test the design, because i dont have paracord)

I have watched your video and would like to give you some tips.
1. Try lifting the sling over your head (this is scary at first, but you'll get comfortable with it.)

2. dont lift your leg, push your hip towards the direction you want the stone to go.

3. keep your sling parallel to the ground.

4. a 45° angle will give you the optimal range.

5. learn to put a rifle spin on your ammo.

If you follow these tips (and i dont suck at teaching Grin ) you can easily get ~100 meters

I have the same  concerns as you , like if my spin is too fast , the centrifugal force would cause the snake knot to roll inwards , that's why I added the golf ball holder for some stability

The problem is not that it falls through the pouch, it could make the shot release to late and it would fly to the left or if you use your stile above your head and injure yourself or someone else.

For 3 i mean that the sling should move horizontally when you release the stone.
A rifle spin is when your ammo spins in the air and flies point first ( doesnt work that well with round stones )

I would argue that the release doesn't have to be perpendicular to the ground. I find a slight angle, coming down as I release can help with getting power. Channing shows this on his YouTube channel (Practical Paracord).

I find it easier to get a rifle spin with that release
