When will we get Slinging in VR?

I’d been messing around with an Oculus Quest 2 playing mainly Steam VR games on my PC, particularly Blade and Sorcery. That one’s easy to mod and it has decently immersive physics, especially when somebody makes a decent mod. I’m wondering when somebody will go through the trouble of perhaps modding a sling into the game, or any other game for that matter. I don’t think hand tracking would be that much of an issue for release points considering that any weapon is glitchy anyway if you use it improperly in VR. But rigging the swinging animations either at aiming winding or the release I understand would be painful. But especially with crazy fantasy sling ideas, I think it would be fun to use in VR.

How to do VR slinging.
buy some cheap sunglasses.

take a sling and some ammo and go to an open space.
put on some headphones, poke the lenses out of the glasses, put glasses on
Proceed to use the slinging App.

And it's a lot cheaper than the alternatives whistle

As much as I like slinging IRL, especially while camping or exploring the wilderness, or target shooting/plinking; I would like to test my tricks against some reactive npcs for once and really be immersed in some kinda battle or skirmish. Sky’s the limit on the scenarios you can use it in with a video game, especially with mods. My quest wasn’t that expensive compared to a next gen console nowadays, however my PC is a different story.

Who knows? My career plans are geared to be a game designer, and the industry really wants to push for VR gaming now; so maybe I’m the poor fool who gets to do it.

Get the physics right and no reason at all it wouldn't work really well.

Yeah the vr kit is simply an add-on to a pc or console, and the cost of graphics cards at the moment makes it a very expensive venture !

I’ll only believe in vr slinging after they get the physics of virtual bowling or golf to work. The motions of slinging are way more subtle and VR just can’t sense the difference between a good throw and a bad one.

For virtual bowling, can't you just hook up two Wii's and watch each screen with a different eye ?

Wii bowling is bang on.
