Wow!  That is awesome!  I'm surprised how close the spread was.

And a question.  In the image at the beginning of the video there are two disc or frisbee looking things at the top.  Were you able to throw a disc with a sling?  If you have a video with either of these I am not able to find it.

I don't do it as often as I'd like, but I disc golf a little bit.  I've thought about some different pouches that could be used to throw a disc with a sling.  But always come back to the problem of trying to keep the disc flat during the throw.  I haven't been able to figure that one out.

Thanks for asking Joe!

My is no video of Frisbee-sling. Both fisbees have a groove into which the string goes. Not every throw is successful.

The problem with the disc is that it rotates like a corkscrew. I, too, often think about this problem.
This is one version:

I've been thinking about a disc sling as well 🤔

Great spread on that shotgun sling you've made. Well done!

Timpa, awesome! That was an amazingly tight grouping.

Yes! I made a prototype and this was the issue. I think pirouette with fins on the pouch would be the only good way. And then you'd still probably end up throwing the disc nose up...

That is a really nice shotgun sling timpa.
Thumbs Up

Actually not just a shotgun sling. Queue sling is right - that should give you a fan shaped dispersion area. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

A disc sling, hmmm.
Okay, challenge accepted.
Got a couple different ideas.
You either make a matched pouch and ammo (pretty simple, like a mini clay pigeon launcher) or try and make a pouch that will hold a variety of different sized discs.
A bit trickier, so I'll go for that one.

To give you a clue how my mind works, I'm pretty sure it'll be nicknamed: the hedgehog pouch.
Makes sense right ? whistle

As I mentioned in c_a's Disc Sling thread, a TS7 with extreme cupping would make a great disc sling.  I wish I had one handy to show you.
Timpa, awesome is the word.  I can see that sling taking out half a flock of ducks with one shot.

That reminds me... what about using an X-Zylo? I bet those would go far from a normal sling... Especially with the correct wrist orientation and a heavy release cord to maximize the spin from the sling.
