That looks really nice. I would want to get more into archery but just don't have the space for making or using bows and arrows.

Wink First you need  a two foot section of a dead agave stalk two to three inches in diameter. Lightly sand and then cut two inches off the bottom end. Hollow out the long piece. The inner core is soft. I use a long thin saw and work from both ends. Might take ten minutes. Glue the bottom back on and apply a few coats of spar varnish.
Itied on two spanish ring knots to secure the strap and cover the cut on the bottom end.
The strap is not so easy  Sad  I did not want to use leather and did not want to spin 300 plus feet of dogbane, so I opted for  four ply yarn. Black and camo. Forty strands eight feet long.
The strap is finger woven in a chevron pattern. Worked on it for an hour or two for close to a month. Came out ok .
Over the shoulder back quivers are not great for hunting, but are good for roving, which I do a lot of.
A two inch quiver wll hold four field points and one flu flu with a blunt tip.

It is fun to make something useful out of mostly natural materials Smiley

That's what I've been finishing with all the experiments I've been doing with stinging nettle. My next project is going to be a fishing net.
