So went out to sling for the first time since summer 2019. Shots dragged right, until I shot Makron-style (look it up if you don't know), and landed a stone on target at 25 m. Some of my old slings (plaited jute, one a Rockman-style, one a woven-pouch job) were frayed, so I retired them in an old pine tree, next to a place where I went slinging with my best friend, nearly ten years ago. He sat by that tree when I was slinging, away from me (out of caution, he smiled). He then had a go with those slings (not bad but some slack in the throw). Good times (he passed away in an accident not long ago).
