Stone bags

Hi there, has anyone come across a really good design for a waist pouch/bag to hold stones in.
Cheers

This thread has a lot of different suggestions. My pictures are in there too. I really like the drop leg pouch and the gas mask bag.

As a leathersmith, I could design or copy one 😊

I really want a simple leather bag just like in the pictures. So far I’ve had no luck finding one. You’d think something so simple and cheap would be widely available. Cry

Google Leather Haversack. I guess it depends how simple and cheap you want to go but theres a pretty wide price range from what I saw.

I use canvas bolt bags. They're cheap, can be found at any hardware store, are reasonably durable, and are comfortable to use.

In line with what RM said, Ive always found that at least in hot or humid areas cloth haversacks are the way to go. Leather has a lot of drawbacks. Its big advantage being mainly beauty.

Thank you for your comments. I ended up making one out of leather.

the bag is actually for nails.  occasionally a new pin is added.  the ammunition is clay.  dried.  I use this again and again.  with a board, a biconic projectile rolled quickly.  i work with kids.  they are now very good at it.  about 30 to 40 seconds per projectile.

I love the idea of a production line of kids making slinging projectiles.

I can just see jaegoor as a modern day fagin whistle

'please sir, can I have more clay'

My ammo bag came from Kick, it's a finnish army gasmark bag.
Good capacity and a side section that for water bottles, phone etc.
I'll take some pics late.

Have to admit I like the bucket style one of Al paca (cool username too).
That would be ideal for speed slinging.
Which needs to start being a genuine event.

That's the only issure I have with my bag, it can take you a while to furtle the next missile out of it.

I need to make some kind of collapsible hoop thing to keep the top open.
It's on the 'list'. whistle

Just noticed the little catal hyuk 'stamp' on jaegoors glandes.
Did you carve it jaegoor ?

have to make one of those Smiley
