Is it harder to hold and shoot the pellet bow because its wanting to twist in your grip?

Yup.

I think, at least.

My first pellet bow (flatbow) consistently shot to the right of where I intended. Until I trained to shoot on target. However, my next pellet bow (longbow) shot to the left, until I trained, which is contrary to what I expected. At least part of how I fixed this was holding VERY tight on the handle when drawing the pouch back.
We gotta get some engineer on this case. I guess there is a scientific answer to whether a bow frame held at an angle actually will function like a slingshot and shoot dead on target.

Ok. Yea thats always been my main concern on pellet bows. That and shooting my hand of course. Yet they do work quite well.

So thats the problem to focus on then... Good.

Now that was unexpected...

Apparently you CAN make a slingshot with all natural rubber.
Not sure what he does around the last quarter of the video but methinks he twists string or another piece of rubber around the bands.

Impressive. THAT has got to be a first.

edit: dummy me. he twists thin strands of rubber that naturally oozes of of the tree around the bands

I hope so  Grin
Time to acquire a rubber tree for the coming global solar flares frying all of electronics.
Doesn't look look like it has a very long power stroke though. Wonder how it compares to a "modern" slingshot.

Long build, but that was impressive.  I like the design a lot.  It appeared to have more power than I would have expected.  Agree with Morphy.  Definitely enough for a bird.  Likely other small game too.

That's a lot more stretch and power than I thought you could get from nature. Cool stuff!
